I went to Seattle for a mere 2 days for a (I hate to say this) Microsoft convention, but it was hosting related, not OS related. It was actually a good time with real good food (shocked) and a superb hotel with plasma TV's in each room.

This was my first trip to Gran Canaria (English name - Canary Islands) located off the coast of Morocco, but part of the Spanish empire.
If you ever have the chance to go, you need to do so. This is an amazing place to be and probably much better than Ibiza as the wheather never faulters and the food is great and the partying is AMAZING!
